Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role takes ownership of a product (or a set of products) and manages the production from beginning to end. There is a large amount of satisfaction in seeing something realised to completion, from just an idea on paper (or whichever medium you fancy!) to the launch.
This role is located at our Essendon Fields, Melbourne studio, a comfortable modern office, with convenient transport and shopping facilities, where the Orbx HQ friendly and dynamic team is located.
Responsibilities
- Manage the production of a product or a set of products from beginning to end
- Manage the project team which comes together for each project
- Communicate clearly to all involved the progress of the production
- Take ultimate responsibility for the quality and the delivery deadlines
- Provide written and verbal reports on the status of the project
- Collaborate with the marketing team on the launch material and schedules
Key skills
Must have
- Experience as a producer or project manager
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Superior, proven and undisputable work ethics

- Capacity to solve complex problems which may present themselves during production
- Excellent time management and organisational skills

Highly desirable
- Passion for aviation and / or gaming
- Experience using Jira, Zendesk (or other ticket management tool) and Google Office Suite
- Knowledge of current flight simulation platforms: MSFS, Prepar3D, X-Plane is a bonus

We are seeking a mid-level Software Developer who can work over our full software stack. You will be working on an industry-leading e-commerce platform that makes purchasing and installing add-ons simple.
Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will be working in a close-knit team based in Melbourne, Australia (remote candidates will be considered). A successful candidate will develop scalable RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core, with fluid front-ends using Angular and TypeScript.
Skills and Experience
- Write comprehensive automated tests, ensuring the robustness of our software.
- Know how to write performant queries in relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL.
- Write documentation to help internal and external stakeholders understand how to use our software.
- Understand how to use Git.
- A proactive approach towards asking for assistance and calling out problems, at both a technical and team level.
- High commitment and enthusiasm.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields.
- Experience using or developing for flight simulators including Microsoft Flight Simulator, Lockheed Martin Prepar3D and/or Laminar Research X-Plane will be very highly regarded
