She has been involved in digital media and technology projects of all sizes, as an operator and an investor, for over 20 years. She has also published peer-reviewed research papers, articles and book chapters on virtual worlds, linguistics and design. Her passion for all things digital and innovation has delivered high growth and turnaround outcomes. Anna was awarded a PhD from the University of Sydney, she’s a Honorary Professor at the University of Wollongong in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, and a Director on the Board of Basketball Australia. Tom ChapmanChief Financial Officer Ed CorreiaHead of Production and OperationsEd has been with Orbx since 2010 starting off as a developer and then moving into a production management role. Prior to becoming full time with Orbx in October 2019, Ed had worked for Australia Post in various roles with his last being involved with the administration of the contracts and policies in its franchise division. Ed brings years of operational experience to the Orbx team as well as contributing to the strategic vision of the company. Ben McClintockHead of TechnologyBen has been with Orbx since 2014, and begun his tenure by spearheading the development of OrbxDirect – Orbx’s inhouse eCommerce and delivery platform. The redeveloped platform is tailored specifically for the distribution of flight simulation software and to provide a user friendly and easier to administrate system for all of Orbx’s products. Following the successful launch in 2016, Ben has headed Orbx’s growing Platform and Technology team to develop technologies that further distinguish Orbx from all others in the consumer flight simulation space. Ben holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Swinburne University of Technology. Jarrad MarshallHead of IndiesWith close to 20 years experience, Jarrad is a respected leader in the flight simulation industry. Since first joining Orbx in 2006, Jarrad has developed major scenery titles for the company, with a focus towards flagship airport products. Alongside his technical work, he has also strongly contributed to the development of the Orbx brand and position as market leader over this time. As a senior developer, he considers mentoring an important aspect of the role. Since late 2017, Jarrad has diversified his position; combining his development work alongside a heavier focus on the management side of the business. As well as his contributions towards the strategic direction of the company, he has become one of the public faces of Orbx, presenting keynote addresses and launching new product lines. As Head of Indies, Jarrad oversees the project management, and coordination of a diverse team of developers across the globe, with an emphasis towards developing highly innovative and quality titles. Jarrad is passionate about all things related to aviation, music and travel. Kalum BucklandDigital Marketing ManagerKalum has over 17 years in the field, and is a video game industry veteran of 23+ years. A passionate marketer, he has been applying his trade in the digital space for a large global entertainment brand (Nintendo) since the dawn of the modern internet in the early 2000s. Experienced with managing strategy, projects and content creation for a range of product launches, from major hardware/consoles, top tier AAA franchises, to independently developed digital only products. He has launched hundreds of products and major projects in his time. He takes great pride in connecting brands and consumers with genuinely valuable and engaging content, and building a community focused relationship with a companies passionate audience. Greg JonesUK Development ManagerGreg has worked in the IT industry in a wide range of support roles at various levels since 1989. He spent the early part of his career as a network specialist predominantly within the finance and logistics sectors. Since the mid-80s he nurtured an interest in flight simulation which ultimately led to the founding of Turbulent Designs in 2013. In recent years, he has worked within the defence and marine industries, recently providing services and support to the likes of Lockheed Martin UK, BP, Qinetiq and Royal Caribbean. Ellise ChristopherBusiness Development ManagerEllise has over 25 years experience with project management and flight simulation providing aircraft flight training solutions to the military, businesses and consumers alike including published consumer aircraft. She is well versed on current flight simulators and hardware, knowing how to provide world class solutions in partnership with our amazing consumer products. As an avid flight simulator fan, she has turned her passion for flying and sims into a long career developing and delivering solutions to a wide range of people. An advocate of STEM in aviation, she has given countless hours towards the betterment and education of flight simulators to children and adults alike from air-shows, college and university talks to demonstrations across the UK to RAF University Air Squadrons. Part of this passion is a recently completed project for the RAF Air Cadets teaching children and young adults the benefits of flying in a virtual reality simulator before entering the real aircraft saving valuable time and money, training for safety in flight training, and instilling a further passion for aviation. Holger SandmannHead of GeospatialPassionate about aviation and flight simulation, Holger has two decades of experience working with geospatial data and imagery, creating representations of real-world landscapes and ground scenery for a variety of flight simulation platforms. Since joining Orbx in 2008, he has contributed to many of the company’s products and is supporting airport and scenery developers in the acquisition and processing of source data. Holger holds an MSc in geography from Philipps University (Marburg, Germany), and previously worked on research projects in forest and landscape ecology at Simon Fraser University (Vancouver, Canada). Tony WroblewskiSenior ArchitectTony is an IT professional with 22 years experience in the field. He started his career as a teacher training people for Microsoft engineer qualifications before moving in to genetics and clinical databases. He has created many new products which are still being used and built upon today, including one being used by places such as The Roslin Institute (aka. Dolly the sheep) and UPMC University hospital. He is also a keen aviation nerd and flight simmer and Orbx is the perfect opportunity to marry both passion and career, and create many new exciting products.
